This Multi-Tasking Mom’s New Best Friend

Bright Starts Portable Swing

When Maddilyn was born it was quickly obvious that formula did not agree with her stomach. She had a lactose intolerance and it was two long month before we were able to find a formula that worked best for her. In the mean time she needed constant swaddling and movement to help ease her painful belly. She also couldn’t sleep or lay flat because she spit up so much and it was uncomfortable for her belly.

Even though I was a stay at home mom, I was still going to school and I couldn’t hold her 24 hours a day, as much as I would like to. During those first two months, and even afterwards her swing was a life saver.

So when Ava was born and showed all of the same symptoms as Maddilyn, I knew a swing would be immensely helpful. But in 1200 square feet I just didn’t have the room for the large swing I had three years ago. Thankfully things have changed in just a short time and these days portable baby swings are all the rage. The Comfort & Harmony Swing in Sandstone Fashion I received folds up to just 5 inches wide so I can store it anywhere and take it everywhere. Because the swing runs on 4 size C batteries, I don’t have to be near an outlet either.

Bright Starts Portable Swing

The portable swing still has all of the features our larger swing had in less than half the size. It has a timer, plays music and has 6 speeds. It even has some things our larger swing didn’t. For example, the five-point safety harness has a plush cover. The swing even reclines in two positions. Ava likes the first position, which is more upright, when she is awake and wants to look around. But the second position is perfect for naps.

Whether I just need an hour hands free or we’re trying to soothe her rolling tummy Comfort & Harmony Swing  has been a life saver! We even pack it up when we head to grandmas house.
