Disneyland is always a magical place but it takes on a whole new life in October as Halloween approaches. The happiest place on earth gets over taken by little ghost, goblins and ghouls during Mickey’s Halloween Party. Moms, Dads, hip grannies, and kids I mean, Mickey Mouse’s, Mike Wazoski’s and Cinderella’s of all ages are invited to take part.
In addition to showing off our awesome costumes and enough candy and healthy goodies to replace dinner, there are also family friendly activities, creepy crafts and live music. Almost all of the attractions are open, including Halloween-themed attractions such as Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday. As if Disneyland wasn’t exciting enough, during Mickey’s Halloween party they really pull out all of the stops. First there is Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade, a Halloween parade presented for Party Guests. Followed by Halloween Screams, a boo-tiful fireworks show.
Mickey’s Halloween Party is one of the few times during the year that Disney Villains are out taking pictures and greeting guest along with the “usual” Disney and Pixar lineup. It is also the only time you are allowed to enter Disneyland in costume! Here for just 13 nights in September and October, you’ll definitely want to look into purchasing your tickets early for this separate ticket event (meaning you regular Disneyland entrance pass will not get you into this special party!). Why buy early? Because you can do it online, you’ll get a discount AND you can choose your night and not have to worry about it selling out!
We have never been before so we are super excited to have been invited to attend as media this year! We’re going tomorrow night and I’m hoping our costumes arrive in time. This years edition of Mickey’s Halloween Party boast a new feature. The Monsters U Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace features Mike and Sulley going head to head in a Monster Scare-Off!
