DIY Fourth of July Nail Art Design

So I was picking at my nails the other day and somebody mentioned that the Fourth of July was coming up. All of a sudden I remembered that I had red, blue and white nail polish lying around (acquired at different times for different reasons, of course) and about an hour later ended up with these.

As you can see, there really isn’t much to the tutorial. I wanted my hands to look like the flag so while the solid red and white fingers seem a little boring, overall I like them. I did the thumbs the “hard” way used to draw designs on my nails in high school – very carefully with a toothpick. If you’re looking for an easy way out, try finding star shaped micro stickers to make your job easier and more “perfect”. Start off my painting both thumbs white and wait to dry COMPLETELY. Place stickers where you want them and then paint on blue coat. Once *mostly* (not completely) dry, remove stickers.

Don’t forget to use at least 2 coats of clear topcoat to make your creation last!
