My Husband and I Just Click

Helzberg Diamonds Photo Contestdisclaimer

I have always loved to tell the story of how I met my husband. It was our junior year of high school at the homecoming dance. A group of my girlfriends and I were going together, girls night out and all that. A friend of mine, who was not in the group, was bringing a date from another school and he was bringing a friend. Long story short, we ended up dancing the night away. We didn’t see each other again for 6 months, after that the rest was history.

Before long it was our first, second, and third anniversary. We did all the things couples do. We fought and made up. We taught each other things and grew as people. We saw the good times and bad, weathered the ups and downs. Then one night he asked the question and I said yes. Over the next year and a half we shared a  New Years Eve wedding with our family and friends, bought a little house on a lake and gave birth to our beautiful daughter.

The people we were at the dance, on our wedding day, are not the same people we are now. Neither is the love we share.  There are days that I miss the emotional rush of those first days but I do not miss the emotional turmoil that comes with new love. This love is mature and aged. The love we share now is comfortable, like two old friends, but not without passion.

Every love story brings together the tale of two journeys, and that’s what Helzberg Diamonds’ new “We Just Click” photo contest is all about. “We Just Click” photo contest invites you to show how you and your significant other “click” for a chance to win a $1,000 Helzberg gift card to put towards the purchase of an ideal cut diamond from the new My Diamond Story collection!

Whether you’re just starting your happily ever after or have chapters behind you, entering the contest is as easy as a click of the camera. Just visit the Helzberg website and share three photos representing your relationship. The contest runs from Oct. 18-Nov. 6 and the winner will be announced Dec. 1.
