HP is on a mission to marry technology and fashion, and they’ve challenged others to help with the project in a design contest. Mondo Guerra winner of Season 8 of the Project Runway/HP Intel Challenge is hosting the HP Ultrabook™ Bag Contest.
In the HP Ultrabook™ Bag Contest, HP challenged entrants to design a bag to hold the HP ENVY Ultrabook™, Inspired by Intel. What features would you want in the ultimate laptop bag?
Your laptop bag shouldn’t have to be boring just because its functional, especially since the technology you’re carrying inside is sleek and sexy. I want a bag that shows my own personal style, while also meeting my needs. It should be lightweight but durable. No one wants to buy a heavy bag that becomes even heavier when its loaded with your laptop, tablet, mp3 player and gear. I also want it to be protective, have pockets for my mouse, flash drive, keys and water bottle without being bulky!
In the HP Ultrabook™ Bag Contest, you can see entrants understand, as technology changes there’s a need for laptop bags to adapt. Style and design seem to reflect some trends like a slimmer bag, use of recycled or upcycled materials, and bags that aren’t just functional but use design to make a statement.
Project Runway All-Stars winner Mondo Guerra, has created two different styles of bags for HP Ultrabooks™. You can choose between the HP carryall or the HP Vertical Messenger Bag, both have bright, bold, graphic elements. I love the vertical design and the bold graphics!
The designs are in and the judges have narrowed them down to the top 40! Now its your turn to vote in the HP Ultrabook™ Bag Contest and decide which design will be the ultimate winner. You can vote for 1 design each day. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and an HP Spectre XT Ultrabook™, Inspired by Intel. The top 5 finalists will each receive a HP Spectre XT Ultrabook™, Inspired by Intel.
