This week I was invited to a round table discussion with actress Joey King at The London Hotel to celebrate the Blu-ray release of Oz The Great And Powerful and the hotel’s Oz themed tea series. Joey plays the adorable porcelain doll China Girl. During the round table Joey discussed the fun of creating a CGI character and the camaraderie she shared on the set with her co-stars.

There were a few local mom bloggers in attendance who had the chance to ask Joey questions all little girls want to know. Like what is your favorite UGG boot color and your favorite movie. (Blue and Mean Girls if you were wondering.) These mini journalists had a list of questions to rival my own and it was a treat to witness their interaction.

After the interview, Joey led us down the yellow brick road to The London’s tea room of enchantment. I was delighted by the hot air balloon decorations and map of Oz place mats.

Treats range from Emerald City sandwiches to Ruby Red Apple Crumble and Witch Brew Juices. I highly recommend the chocolate bread sandwich with peanut butter and banana spread. Delicious. I also could not get enough of the Flying Monkey Bite scones and delectable selection of fine teas.

The “Oz The Great and Powerful” Tea is available Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2:30pm to 4:30pm beginning June 22nd through August 11th. The price per adults is $28 and children are $14. Reservations are required. To reserve your place at the magical afternoon, please call 310-358-7788. The best part is that munchkins and guests who take the time out for an afternoon tea this summer will be entered to win a night at The London West Hollywood and visit to Disneyland for Four.

Thank you to Disney for sponsoring this event. All opinions are my own.
