Create Fun LEGO Minifigure Family Holiday Cards

This post brought to you by LEGO. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's funny how during the holidays you notice that there are essentially two types of toys. Fad toys that won't be around in 5 to 10 years, and toys that were around when we were kids! Sure sometimes the names have changed, they're received a facelift or updated the packaging, but essentially they're the same great toys we had. They're toys that will never go out of style, like LEGOS. Growing up we had them everywhere. In bins at home, at the daycare center and even in our classrooms. They're much cooler these days though with the ability to create Barbie Houses, the wizarding world of Harry Potter, or even our favorite super heroes! Kids (okay and adults too) can build just about anything with LEGO – now even your own family! This holiday season, LEGO has created an online experience called “Minifigure Family”, which enables you to create your own custom LEGO Minifigure holiday card.

How cute is that?!  It was all customizable too. There are options for adults, children and babies. I was even able to include the dog. Each member of your Minifig’ family can be customized to match skin tone, facial expressions, outfits and more. Dad choose a boring outfit, mine says skiing in the alps (or maybe it's moms-trying-too-hard) and then there is robot Maddilyn. You can even set the scene  and there are many: choose from tropical beaches, outerspace, the North Pole (a little too chilly for my taste), at the office – although I wouldn't recommend that one. Then it's just a matter of arranging your family around the card.  Lastly, pick a seasons greeting!

Once you’ve got your family Minifig-ed, you can download and print or share the holiday card with your friends and family via your social channels. It's way more fun than your standard winter scene holiday cards and more personal too. What would your LEGO Minifigure Family look like?

I like that the same toys that were around when I was a kid are still around today. I like how the Lego brand continues to evolve too.
