Being a Trip Advisor’s Traveler’s Choice Winner is not easy task, but with over 9,816 ‘excellent’ ratings it’s no wonder that Top of The Rock Observation Deck garnered the 2013 title.

On a recent trip to New York as a ZINK hAppy Ambassador, myself and a few new friends soared 70 floors high to the 3 viewing decks offering up unobstructed 360º city views from Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center.

The views are incredible and you could easily lose track of time enjoying them.

After you’ve taken in everything from Central Park to the famous New York City skyline there is one more thing you have to do – JUMP!

TIP: Download the FREE Viewfinder Mobile App to take the experience to the next level. The app gives you instant information about  about iconic landmarks.

It also takes pictures, applies effects, and allows you to share them. You can also explore over 100 Rock Center shopping and dining options. Available for iPhone or Android phones.

In addition to viewing New York’s spectacular city scape, we were also treated to a tour one of televisions most famous studios, NBC, also inside the Rockefeller Center.

The tour was led by an NBC Page who gave us the inside scoop on all the daily happenings. We even got to see all the fun stuff like props, costumes, cue cards and control rooms.

The tour also included the opportunity to have our photo taken at the news desk as well as a weather demonstration in front of the green screen – it’s trickier than it looks folks.

If you’re in the area and want to take a tour:

Tour Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm (departs every 30 minutes)

Friday – Saturday 9:30am – 5:30pm (departs every 15 minutes)

Sunday 9:30am – 4:30pm (departs every 15 minutes)

The Rockefeller Center is also home to The Channel Gardens, Radio City Music Hall  and The Rockettes. The Rockefeller Center is easily one of New York’s more iconic destinations, even if you don’t have time for everything, it’s a must visit.

  1. Wow! That’s a beautiful view. Although 70 floors high would scare the heck out of me :) Did not work that way for you though, I see :)
