Being a Mom is the Understatement of the Century

Sometimes I feel like the word “mom” is the biggest understatement of the century. Same goes with “stay at home mom,” “work at home mom,” and “working mom.” Don’t even get me started on “single mom.” At the end of the day we aren’t just mothers. We’re nurses, accountants, tutors, house keepers, role models, chefs, investors, animal trainers, peace keepers…I could go on all day but you get the idea. I try to fit so much into a single day that I’m usually left feeling like I’m a circus clown just barely able to juggle it all. Sometimes holding my breath, feeling like my I’m about to drop the ball in one aspect of my life isn’t a good feeling.

Don’t get me wrong, life is a beautiful, wonderful mess. But whether it’s saving our family more money, coming up with fun new things to do with my toddler or just trying to be more efficent I’m always trying to do better. I want to spend more time cherishing my family and less time taking care of the baggage we collect along the way. Which makes P&G Everyday my new BFF and secret weapon. I’m so in love with it I would keep it all to myself but hey, we moms have to stick together.
