Remembering to Stop and #ShareWhatsGood

family moments

As a busy parent trying to juggle work, family and a personal life (what’s that?), we often times focus on that to-do list instead of recognizing opportunities for special moments with our children. There are days that don’t seem to have enough hours. Weeks fly by and you can barely remember what it was you made for dinner last night.

I try to make it a point to spend quality time with my daughter during the evenings as we get ready for bed. We play games like High and Low, where she tells me the high light and low light of her day; and Favorite, where we share a favorite characteristic of the other person. We read one bed time book and one short rhyming book. Then we wrap up the night singing bed time songs or making up a story together. I love that hour.

I wish that we could have one more hour each day. One hour to play outside on the swings, to run around catching fire flies or with our favorite activity, crafting! Unfortunately I can’t add an extra hour to the day but I can create more small moments. Moments at the kitchen table, as we brush our teeth in the mornings or while we’re running our errands. One moment can be all the world.

Just visit Sharewhatsgood.com to enter. You can also follow them on TwitterInstagram and Facebook.

PSSST! While there is only one grand prize, everyone who enters will get a $1.50 coupon for Welch’s 100% Grape Juice – or $2.00 if you share the news.
