Shop Chamberlain’s Garage Sale For Good to Help Habitat for Humanity

Do you get up early on the weekends and scour your local garage sales for a bargain? I haven’t been to a garage sale or rummage sale, as they call them in Wisconsin, in years.  I plan to go and come home with great finds for the kids and the house, but when it comes down to sleeping in or getting up, well, we all know which one wins. However, how about a virtual garage sale that is free and raises money for Habitat for Humanity?

Right now, Chamberlain is hosting a virtual garage sale, “Garage Sale for Good” to help raise money for Habitat for Humanity’s Build mission to end poverty housing and raise awareness for their local ReStore resale outlets. Their goal is to raise $10,000 by October 12, 2012 and they need YOUR help!

The good news: you can help from home with no early wake up call, there’s no scouting ads, or driving anywhere, you can even do it while in your pajamas. (I did)

All you have to do is check out the online garage sale for good and click on a free, quirky virtual item, like a garden gnome, baseball mitt or antlers. By selecting an item from the “Garage Sale For Good”, Chamberlain will donate $1 to Habitat for Humanity. It takes less than a minute to participate and make a difference in the lives of others!

And if you’re still looking for “actual” treasures check out a local ReStore resale outlet near you. ReStores keep materials out of the landfills and help fund Habitat’s mission to build affordable homes.
