The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a funny and heartwarming coming-of-age story based on the beloved best-selling novel of the same name by Stephen Chbosky.

Stephen Chbosky brings his adaptation of the critically acclaimed young adult novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, to the big screen on September 21. Chbosky wrote the screenplay and directed the film that highlights the peaks and valleys of growing up. Set in the early 90s the story chronicles Charlie’s life as a high school freshman. Logan Lerman plays the main character Charlie, Emma Watson is Sam, and Ezra Miller is Patrick a group of high school teens that experience life, love and loss together. Other actors include Mae Whitman, Kate Walsh, Dylan McDermott, Nina Dobrev and Paul Rudd.

The movie’s soundtrack, handpicked by Chbosky, includes music by David Bowie, The Samples, Dexys, and The Smiths.
