Drink this once per morning for about a week, but take note baking soda is high in salt so don’t do this home remedy for an UTI if you are on a salt-restricted diet. This home remedy actually works to neutralize and lessen the acidity of your urine, which means it won’t hurt as badly when you urinate while having an UTI.

Eat and Drink Up That Vitamin C

Vitamin C keeps down the toxins from foods and drinks you have consumed. While vitamin C won’t help with the acidity of your urine, it will help to ward off infections by inhibiting the growth of bacteria in your urinary tract. Foods, drinks and even Vitamin C supplements are the perfect home remedy for fighting an UTI. While you may still experience pain from urination using this method, you can rest easy knowing that you are setting yourself up for less frequent urinary tract infections.

Drink Parsley Water

Mix up roughly 1 cup of fresh parsley or 2 tablespoons of dried parsley with 2 cups of fresh water. Mix these ingredients together until well blended. Boil the ingredients on the stovetop for up to 10 minutes, if you prefer this mixture cold then place in the fridge to cool down before consuming. This is the perfect home remedy for an UTI because it helps to increase the amount of sodium your kidneys excrete as water by acting as a diuretic.
