I can’t believe its April already. It’s almost like someone stepped on the fast forward button in March! (By the way, when watching my first Vlog attempt below, you may want to hit FF) On March 1, when I began my Shaklee 180 journey, I thought to myself, this is going to be a long six months. I anticipated 180 days of being hungry, grumpy, and fixated on all of the foods I’ve had to give up to be successful in my journey. So I guess I may be the one who is most surprised that it’s already April and there are only 150 days left in this adventure.
When I applied to be a part of the Shaklee 180 blogger program, and they said they would provide all the tools we’d need to be successful, I was so excited! Then my first kit arrived and I wondered, “That’s it? They fit everything I need into that small box?” I mean come on, for me to get fit, I’m going to need a motivating trainer like Harley Pasternak, a bicycle, a bullhorn for friends and family to bark orders at me, and so much more.
But the box only had….
And you know what? They were right, I’ve seen a difference in the way my clothes fit and in how I look and feel. I’m down an inch in the bust area, an inch in my biceps, 2 inches in my waist (WOOHOO) and 2 inches in my hips! People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
I’m happy and embarrassed to admit those results were accomplished without any “real” exercise. I’m also super excited about the progress I have seen, with what I would consider very little effort. Like, so excited, that at a recent party, I had to resist the urge to say “look at my belt, it hasn’t been on this notch in 2 years.”
Now, if I can just increase my activity level, which at the moment if my FitBit could talk, it would say is “pathetic, and your dog is more active,” then the results will only get better! Maybe by the time the weather is warm enough to swim, I won’t have to hide in a rash guard and long board shorts.
