One of my favorite parts of parenting is creating traditions with my little ones and holidays are a perfect time for that.

But while we’re thinking of holiday traditions, the kids are counting down the days to Halloween, beside themselves with excitement about trick or treating.

The most frequently asked question of the day: can I wear my costume yet?

So, whether you need to distract them, keep them occupied or are looking for something fun to do at your Halloween parties, here are some of our favorite easy Halloween craft ideas for kids.

Go grab some candy corn and your arts and crafts supplies, these fun ideas will keep children busy for hours.

Felt Plushies

Jack Skellington is one of my favorite characters from Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.

He’s so cute and I want to hug him! So I made this fun felt plushie pattern.

Stretch the tape across the bag in alternating lines so that the tape crosses in the middle and stretches all the way to the bottom, sides, and corners.

Add shorter pieces of tape to make connections between the lines. Start from center and work outward, adding connecting lines every inch or so until the entire web is complete.

Use glue and a plastic spider to finish the project.

I love the idea of saving bread tags and then using them to make bread tag monsters, so creative!
