It means risking yourself by leaving a little piece of you behind in all those you meet along the way.” ~ Shawna Grapentin ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What an incredible week it has been! 🤗 From having the opportunity to participate in @LifeStraw’s first Give Back installation in #ChiapasMexico, to sharing light and laughter with children, to exploring the area’s rich Mayan history - it’s a trip that won’t soon be forgotten. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But what made this experience so memorable for me is the people I shared it with 💕 @jessehambley, @dontforget2move, @jameskaofoto, @erinoutdoors, @mounce, @gbeas13.   • The higher you climb, the better the view 😍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I don’t think I’ve ever been described as “outdoorsy” (aside from liking to drink my 🍷on patios). I’m a clumsy walker, and even worse hiker. But my wanderlust drives me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sometimes days of exploration go longer than expected. I cringe 😣 at the thought of how many plastic water bottles I would go through in even just one day if I didn’t carry a #LifeStraw Go. I’m also thankful that the last thing I have to worry about on my wanderings is finding safe drinking 💦 water. It had been a long day and all I wanted was my hotel bed. I wasn’t expecting to walk through a conversation about an adventure about to happen. I didn’t think I had the energy to tag along. The smiles and enthusiasm of the day’s new friends convinced my heart to go. I’m glad I did. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Always say yes to new adventures, friends.
