I never realized how creative you can be in the kitchen until…Pinterest. I wonder if the person that first started making salads, desserts, etc. in a jar was motivated by presentation, portion control, recycling mason jars, or reducing the amount of dirty dishes? Regardless of how the idea came about, I love some of the delicious recipes in a jar I’ve discovered while cruising Pinterest. Here are 10 of my favorite recipes in a jar.

  1. I love jar recipes! We used to give “jar gifts” about 20 years ago because it had a country homemade look but were cheap. Back then we didn’t have money for xmas gifts so that’s how we did it. Who knew they would be a thing. I guess I need to whip out old photos and start making them again and get them on Pinterest!

  3. Many dishes seem more fun when displayed in a jar. All of these are great, but that banana split cake is an absolute must have for me!
