We’re a huge fan of family travel here at Surf and Sunshine. One of the great things about traveling with your family, other than making the memories, is capturing them. However sharing them is a little harder. How many times does someone snap a photo and then immediately exclaim “Make sure you send me that one!” With the excitement of a vacation and then the jetlag that comes after, it can be hard to get all of the photos together. Seahorse is a new app for documenting life together in shared experiences with friends and family – which makes it ideal for family vacations.

As opposed to social media platforms, all photos and videos shared in a Seahorse scene are co-owned, or belong to, everyone invited to that scene AND can only be viewed by people in that scene. Additionally, Seahorse saves your photos and videos in their original resolution so they can be downloaded and printed straight from the app.

It’s easy to use. First, download the app, available on iOS and Android. Then sign up with your email, Google or Facebook account. Get started by asking friends to join so you can collaborate. Sharing the photos is as easy as creating a ‘Scene.’ Name it, add friends and then upload images from your phone or computer.

Once you and friends have created scenes you can view the most recent photos in your News. Go back through your Timeline to view photos sorted by date or check out Discover to view travel memories. Intuitive organizing and sorting by date, location, friends and scenes make it easy to find and share.
