No matter which way you slice it, I will never be a beer drinker. Just ain’t gonna happen folks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m always down for a friendly game of flip cup which of course involves drinking an inordinate amount of beer in a relay race setting, but aside from fun and games, beer just isn’t my thing. Wine, however, I’m a fan of.

So when I saw that Frontera Wines was offering a fun list of wine based drink recipes, I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you. These would be perfect for summer entertaining, but will definitely be breaking out this list for bridal or baby showers and birthday parties. They would all be a welcome, refreshing alternative to the traditional drinks served, right?

Moscato Oh Honey Bee

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1.
MULTIPLY BY YOUR NUMBER OF GUESTS

  • 4 OZ. FRONTERA MOSCATO
  • JUICE OF A WHOLE LEMON
  • 4-5 RASPBERRIES
  • 3-4 SPRIGS OF THYME
  • A SPOONFUL OF HONEY

PREPARATION

– 1 – MUDDLE LEMON JUICE, HONEY, RASPBERRIES AND THYME IN A SHAKER

– 2 – ADD MOSCATO AND SHAKE TO COMBINE

– 3 – STRAIN INTO TALL GLASS OVER CRUSHED ICE

Chardonnay Al Fresco

SERVES 1.
MULTIPLY BY YOUR NUMBER OF GUESTS

  • 4 OZ. FRONTERA CHARDONNAY
  • 1/4 CUCUMBER CHOPPED
  • 1 LIME
  • 1 OZ. SIMPLE SYRUP
  • ICE

PREPARATION

– 1 – MUDDLE THE CUCUMBER, LIME JUICE AND SIMPLE SYRUP

– 2 – ADD ICE AND WINE. SHAKE WELL

– 3 – STRAIN INTO GLASS AND ENJOY

Carmenare Strawberry Swim

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1.
MULTIPLY BY YOUR NUMBER OF GUESTS

  • 3 OZ FRONTERA CARMENERE
  • 2 FRESH STRAWBERRIES
  • JUICE OF 1/4 LEMON
  • 1 TBSP. SIMPLE SYRUP
  • GINGER ALE AND FRESH MINT TO GARNISH

PREPARATION

– 1 – MUDDLE STRAWBERRIES WITH SIMPLE SYRUP AND LEMON JUICE IN A GLASS

– 2 – ADD WINE AND ICE AND STIR

– 3 – TOP WITH GINGER ALE TO FINISH & GARNISH WITH A FRESH MINT LEAF

Sauvignon Blanc Paloma Blanca

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1.
MULTIPLY BY YOUR NUMBER OF GUESTS

  • 3 OZ FRONTERA SAUVIGNON BLANC
  • JUICE OF 1/2 GRAPEFRUIT
  • 1 TBSP SUGAR
  • 1/2 OUNCE LIME JUICE
  • SPARKLING WATER AND SALT FOR RIMMING (OPTIONAL)

PREPARATION

– 1 – RIM GLASS WITH SALT (OPTIONAL)

– 2 – MIX WINE, SUGAR, GRAPEFRUIT JUICE AND LIME JUICE IN A GLASS WITH ICE. STIR UNTIL SUGAR IS DISSOLVED

– 3 – POUR INTO GLASS AND TOP WITH SPARKLING WATER TO FINISH. SERVE WITH A STRAW
