Get your wrapping paper arsenal ready, because the season of giving is upon us. It seems like every year I use the same roll of ornament printed paper to wrap everyone’s gifts in an all too uniform fashion. If the traditional paper and sticky-back bow isn’t cutting it for you anymore (get it, “cutting” it?), then check out these ideas for presenting the perfect package.

For the man in your life, a tissue paper dress shirt and tie set his gift apart and give you an excuse to use those patterned scissors you bought on sale and only ever used once to make a handkerchief. Just me?

Dried fruits are the hot, new garnish, so why limit them to food and drinks? These orange slices won’t be sticky, but they’ll still smell great, especially accompanied by herbs or fragrant leaves.

Clip a few snips off of your real Christmas tree to build a miniature wreath. Neatly tied with candy cane striped twine, this adornment is subtle and rustic.

CDs have become easily distinguishable with their square cases, so why not dress them up with sheet music? Bonus points if the music is to a song significant to the recipient, or if they can play it.

The best has been saved for last, because nothing is better than getting your kids involved for a one-of-a-kind work of art. What a great idea to wrap a gift in your child’s watercolor artwork. I LOVE this so much!

No gift is complete without a sentimental card to let your loved one know just how much you care. Hallmark Gold Crown Stores have been card havens for the last century, and with this coupon, you can save $5 on your purchase of $10 or more. Wrapping paper is fun to tear off, but there is something sentimental about cards. I still have cards from the 90s with my parents’ classic signatures on them. I love re-reading them time to time and remembering happy holidays, because “when you care enough to send the very best,” right?

This post is written on behalf of Hallmark by me. All opinions are 100% mine.

  1. I used to use bags to wrap my presents, but this year I bought some wrapping paper and forgot how fun it is to actually wrap something. Leaving the bags behind and going back to wrapping my gifts!
