Life is Starting To Feel Like A Disney Fairy Tale Adventure

I’ve been all over the east coast and down to Florida, but I can honestly say this princess has never been further west than Colorado. What kind of modern day heroine am I?! Well, I’m the kind that’s starting to feel a little bit like a fish out of water..in a really good way. Why, you may ask? Because I have an amazing adventure coming up August 22nd. An adventure that can only be powered by the magic of Disney. And of course every princess has to have a posse so I’m joining fellow fabulous bloggers to share the journey.

First stop…the airport! Okay, I know it isn’t glamorous but I’m flying from good old Michigan to the big city lights of Los Angeles. For me that’s a BIG deal! Once my chariot arrives, we’re off for magic, adventure and… swimming with the sharks? I guess I’m going to have to let you in on a secret in order to explain that oh so cryptic statement. Here is a clue…

Eek! That’s right – I get to attend an advance screening of Pixar classic Finding Nemo. Nemo, Dory, Marlin, Gill, and the whole gang are coming to the Big Screen bigger and better than ever in Finding Nemo 3D on September 14th. Did you know Finding Nemo was actually originally created for the 3D experience? Is your mind blown? I’ll be honest I was flabbergasted. (yes, I just used the F word. Is your mind blown now?) Finding Nemo didn’t come out that long ago, but it was before the whole 3D bonanza. Alas, I’m getting off topic, but I promise you will get your chance to hear me gush about my amazement throughout my trip.

Finding Nemo is actually just the beginning! We will also be interviewing Finding Nemo’s buddy Crush at Disney’s California Adventure before heading off to something a little less fishy.

We will be celebrating the release of Cinderella: Diamond Edition on Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack October 2nd. I’ll admit, Cinderella has always been one of my most favorite Disney movies. She was the ultimate princess and she is a must have in any movie collection.

Finally, we will be attending a pre-screening of “Secret of the Wings.” This all-new Tinker Bell/Disney Fairy adventure will be available to own on October 23rd.

Now I’ll admit Cinderella was the perfect princess but there is just something about that sassy chic Tinker Bell. Apparently, the apple doesn’t fall to far from the tree because my mini me flits around in her Tinker Bell wings on a daily basis. Now, this princess would have been extremely pleased with just doing these experiences alone, but in the way that Disney does – we’re doing so much more!

We will be visiting CarsLand, meeting Tinker Bell and her sister Periwinkle in person, and even getting the chance to interview some amazing people who work behind the scenes on creating that Disney magic. Did I mention we will also be touring Disney Toon Studios and the Animation Research Library’s prized collection of Cinderella memorabilia and artifacts? Can you FEEL my excitement?! Talk about the royal treatment!

I can’t wait to take it all in and enjoy every minute of this amazing experience AND share it all with you. Please feel free to follow me along on this adventure (I won’t mind if you say you were there ;) ). I’ll be posting to Surf and Sunshine Facebook Page and Twitter accounts with the hashtags #DisneyInHomeBloggers, #FindingNemo3D, #DisneyFairies, and #Cinderella!

A huge thank you to Disney for sending me on an all-expense paid trip to Southern California to experience this once in a lifetime adventure. All opinions expressed are my own.
