Staying Charged with my Halo Galaxy S4 Power Case

I remember the first press trip I ever attended for Disney a little over a year ago. I boarded the plane, my carry on packed to the brim with a laptop, two cameras, cell phone, and numerous charging cords. Everything was fully charged so as to hit the ground running and impress the socks off my editor.  Then came the first press day – we were heading to Disneyland! Before we even walked through it’s gates, my fingers were tweeting on rapid fire. Then it started to happen.

The day wasn’t even half over before I was rationing my battery. With a day spent on full blast, stopping to charge – or even dropping my phone off in a charging locker – was simply not an option. Then it finally happened, my phone died. I wanted to kick myself. How could I not think of a backup charger?! I dreaded the ride home and all of the experiences I would be missing out on sharing. Sure enough I got back to the hotel to see a few texts from my editor concerned (legitimately) about my lack of social media shares. I spent the entire weekend powering up whenever possible. I was the girl always looking for outlets. It ended up working out okay but I was determined to never be that girl again.

Fast forward to my latest press trip – The 2014 Chicago Auto Show. My carry-on contained it’s usual tech supplies with one addition, the Halo Galaxy S4 Power Case (provided by Lenmar – thank you!).

Halo Galaxy S4 Power Case Lenmar

This stylish, light-weight case includes a 2600mAh battery kit that doubles my battery life! During the course of the trip I could Tweet, Instagram and ‘check in’ to my hearts content while not worrying for a second about rationing battery power. In fact, my editor actually told me it was okay to take a breather. ;)

While the Halo is a crucial accessory for press trips, I find that it’s my new everyday case as well. It’s lightweight and durable enough to protect my phone with the added convenience of never worrying about battery life. Because on the job or not, no one likes a dead battery.

Thank you to Lenmar for providing the above mentioned product. All opinions remain my own.

It is funny how quickly your battery will drain when you need it the most.
