Green Giant’s Giant Surprise – It’s Finger Lickin’ Good!

IMAG0431

My toddler has been sick for what feels like months! She will feel better for a week or so and then catch something again for 2 or 3 days. We’ve been to the doctor a few times and it’s largely due to the weather. Michigan has been so fickle, switching from warm to cold to wet to snow and back again. As such we’ve been spending a lot of time curled up on the couch watching our favorite Disney movies. There is something about spending the day watching movies that makes a person feel snacky. Since I’m trying to shred the pounds, and of course I want my daughter to eat healthy, I try to watch what we snack on and avoid empty calories. Green Giants HUGE surprise – new Veggie Snack Chips were our snack of choice today.

The chips were delicious. We tried the The Green Giant™ Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips – Zesty Cheddar Flavor and the  Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips – Sea Salt Flavor. Our favorite were the Veggie Tortilla Chips. We deemed them “finger lickin’ good” when my daughter kept licking the zesty flavoring off her fingers. Normally I avoid chips that are Sea Salt flavored because I think they taste a little bland and starchy. However, the Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt were super flavorful and I’ll be picking them again.

Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips

Not only did the chips taste good but I felt good snacking on them. They are fairly comparible to regular potato chips in calories per servings but offer way more than empty calories.  The Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips are made with real vegetables, 17 grams of whole grain per serving (48g are recommended daily), and are naturally flavored. While the Real Sweet Potato Chips are made with made with 14 grams of whole grain. Plus, they contains 40 percent less fat than regular potato chips!

We have always known Green Giant for their vegetables but I was pretty surprised to find out they created Veggie Snack Chips, especially ones that tasted soo good. Since Green Giant shared they big surprise they’re searching the country for surprise talents. Check out the Green Giant’s Facebook page or YouTube channel and upload your surprise talent to appear in their online film – or just check out all of the talent already upload!
