DIY Chalkboard Wedding Prop 1
I swear my ZINK hAppy has been saving my life with my sisters upcoming wedding! We’re now down to crunch time and it’s making me find ways to use my ZINK in more creative ways – creative and time saving. My latest project, a DIY Chalkboard Wedding Prop, was so easy to do. If you want to get really crafty, use chalkboard paint and an old vintage picture frame to create your prop OR head to your local craft store and pick one up for between $5 – $10.

Once I had my chalkboard, I used this great photo editing app and my ZINK hAppy Printer to customize 3 snapshots of my sister and her fiancee. Then, it was just a matter of peel and stick! On the wedding day you can use it as a photo prop with cute sayings:

  • The Wedding Date
  • “Happily Ever After”
  • “Just Married”
  • “Love”
  • “Mr. & Mrs.”
  • “Finally”

Instead of (or in addition to!) a photo prop, the chalkboard also can be used as a decoration at the reception. You can use it to direct guests at the entrance table, display guest book instructions, let guest know where to sit, inform them on the dinner menu – the options are endless!  After the big day, the cute prop can be used as a message board, weekly menu board or as a keepsake with your wedding details. It’s a great wedding keepsake.

Another option is to keep on customizing with the ZINK hAappy! In my attempt to draw a heart, I quickly realized I was never going to be a chalk artist. So, using the ZINKBig app I printed out the phrase “& They Lived Happily Ever After.” It still had a cute Chalkboard look to it, without any of the mess.

  1. That is such a cute idea! It looks easy too! I’d love one for photo props like first day of school!
