Smoothies are one of my favorite treats. I’ll choose them over ice cream, popsicles or frozen yogurt any day. Even my family has taken notice because I regularly get blenders as christmas gifts (in case my family is reading this, I wouldn’t mind a travel sized blender). But what’s not to like about smoothies? They’re perfect as breakfast, after a work out, on the go or just to cool off a little on a hot day. As much as I make smoothies you would think I would be a little more creative but to be honest I usually just stick to a handful of tried and true recipes. Tonight I decided to shake things up a little and found some great, nutritious recipes from Fitness Magazine.
Banana and Kiwi Smoothie
The fuzzy kiwi fruit may be small in size, but talk about a triple threat. It’s loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants, which keep skin firm, promote healthy bones and teeth, and protect you from cancer and heart disease.
