With “Iron Man 3“ landing in theaters on May 3, I know there will be a lot of kids asking for Iron Man parties. Of course, planning a super hero party takes some super planning and mad skills. To help, I’ve assembled some crafts, DIY costume ideas, cakes and more to inspire you. If I were to throw a party for my son, these are my ultimate Iron Man party ideas.
You can find a tutorial with photos to make the amazing Iron Man cake show above at Twin Dragonfly designs.
There are tons of different ideas for invitations, you can buy them from Walmart, Target, Amazon or order custom invitations from Etsy. This one made by nickeldesign on Etsy is one of my favorites.

This Iron Man costume was made by hand with foam mats, paper, glue, paint and I imagine a ton of patience. A big applause goes to the Super Hero Mom that made this! (Source: Grace’s Scrap Attic)
Balloons made into Iron Man would make for great decorations! (Source: 365 Days of Balloons)
I think these are probably too complicated for party crafts, but would be great for the parent/adult to make and use as decorations or give as party favors! (Source: Craft Interrupted)
You can find step by step directions to make these Avengers bookmarks from Crafts by Amanda. If you sketched out the designs and then gave the kids some paint and brushes, this would be a fun party craft.
I love these Avengers bowling pins! What a great idea for an Iron Man party game (and great way to recycle your plastic bottles!), you can find patterns and instructions to make these at Life Sprinkled with Glitter.
