Dancing shows like So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars have taken televisions by storm. Admit it, they have inspired you to cha-cha across the living room once or twice. No one is blaming you, not only is dancing fun, it’s also a great way to keep your body and mind healthy. Studies show that dancing can help you lose weight, stay flexible, reduce stress, make friends, and more:

  • weight management
  • increased energy
  • fights depression
  • helps mental skills and decreases risk of dementia
  • develop muscle tone, strength and endurance
  • keeps your heart healthy
  • develops fine motor skills, coordination and agility
  • aerobic fitness
  • stronger bones and reduced risk of osteoporosis
  • improved balance and spatial awareness
  • increased physical confidence
  • improved mental functioning
  • greater self-confidence and self-esteem

Even if you don’t have moves like Jagger (or perhaps you do?) you can enjoy the benefits of dance right from the comfort of your personal stage, err, living room, with the new Just Dance 2016 game. Just Dance 2016 features more than 40 top hits and quirky favorites, including songs like “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor, “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars (because who can sit still during that song?!) and “Cool for the Summer” by Demi Lovato.

Like previous versions of Just Dance, you can play by yourself, challenge a friend or get the whole family in on the action. What better way to spend time together after a holiday dinner? Plus, with all of calories you will be burning you won’t feel the least bit guilty over that second helping of turkey and pumpkin pie. Long after everyone was burned out, Whistler just kept on keepin on. His favorite tracks are Uptown Funk and I Gotta Feeling and he LOVES earning stars and new avatars. His favorite part is when it shows the recording of him dancing at the end – very cool!

Unlike previous versions, Just Dance 2016 is more accessible than ever with the Just Dance Controller App, which allows players on new-gen consoles to use their smartphone to track their moves and navigate through the game. No peripherals or added console cameras are needed to enjoy Just Dance 2016, just download the app! The only downside to this new feature is that you can no longer blame the camera or a faulty controller on missing the move.

Right in time for the holidays – the perfect family activity, Just Dance 2016 is now available for all motion-control gaming platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Wii.
