Your Memories, Your Life, on a Bigger Screen

Over the last 10 months, my husband and I have spent far more days apart than we have together. It’s something we knew we were signing on for when he joined the military almost a year ago, but that doesn’t always make the distance easier, especially when distance and time are abstract thoughts to a five year old. We were so incredibly lucky to have been able to share Christmas, our anniversary and New Years together, however, the inevitable happened and my daughter’s 5th birthday was spent apart.

In the days leading up to her big day, she seemed to be fine with the idea of Daddy not being there but it was a whole other story on the day of the party. Of course there was a meltdown, so we did what any 21st century tech savvy parent would do – we used technology to try and eliminate the distance and bring us together again. We were able to enjoy her day with Daddy without forgetting a single special moment.

The ability to bring family closer together is one of the things I love about technology and XFINITY is releasing a new innovative feature from their X1EOS to do it even better to select subscribers. It allows them to live-stream video directly to their TV so they can enjoy their life moments on a bigger screen, because as we all know, some things are just meant for the big screen.

It’s relatively easy to use. Subscribers simply download the XFINITY app and begin using it with their friends, family and, their own TVs. You can enjoy live video, images from your mobile camera roll or even record video for later. When you’re ready, your family will receive an alert and from there they can begin viewing the one-way stream.

Pretty nifty, eh? XFINITY is also giving you the chance to win a $1,000 gift card by commenting below!
