Screen Shot 2014-05-16 at 1.54.09 PMI have summer fever! School is out in less than a month and we’re starting it off with a camping trip that next weekend. It’s going to be a great way to start our summer vacation but it’s just one of a few things that we check off our summer bucket list each year. Summer just isn’t summer without these 3 Must Have Summer Bucket List Adventures.

Camping season is going to start off with a bang for us. We’re driving from Michigan to New Jersey to stay at Sea Pirate Campground in Tuckerton, NJ and participating in their pirate festival. But you certainly don’t need to cross state lines to experience an awesome camping adventure. All of the states are home to some great parks. In fact, here you can find the top state parks for each state as chosen by their state park directors!

The Fair 1The State Fair

Growing up in 4-H I spent all year looking forward to fair season.  I would spend my days doing what I loved most, showing horses, and many summer nights walking the thoroughfare, gorging on fair food, and getting my moneys worth from my wrist band.

Beach Day

Who doesn’t enjoy a great day at the beach? Some surf and sunshine ;), a good book, sand castles and a cooler full of soft drinks. In addition to beach back staples like sun protection (sunglasses, sunscreen and hats), beach towels, and snacks we have a few overlooked items:

  • A kite
A strong ocean breeze is perfect for kite flying.
  • Wet wipes – you would be surprised at how often you need them!
  • Deodorant.
The water often washes off any you applied and the hot sun is a recipe for body odor.

As we start preparing for summer I’ve also been breaking out the summer clothes – we have even got to wear them once or twice. Which reminded me that I really have to start shaving more. Don’t laugh, but living in Michigan I take advantage of cold weather gear! Now that it’s tank tops and shorts seasons that really isn’t an option. Which brings up another sensitive topic: sweat. It’s important to have a deodorant you know can handle days at the beach or an amusement park.

The new Dove Advanced Care offers real 48-hour odor and wetness protection and is available in a wide variety of signature Dove fragrances. It’s also the only Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant formulated with NutriumMoisture to provide ultimate underarm care. After using Dove Advanced Care for the past 2 weeks, I’m happy to report you also don’t have to worry about sweat stains, odor or deodorant marks on your clothes. It’s smooth, colorless and really does work for 2 days! I’ve been a long time fan of Dove products and am happy that they are continually raising the bar on their line and providing options to suit just about every need.

I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central for Dove. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

  1. WE just spent the day at the beach flying kites today. We had the most amazing time. And yesterday we were at a fair. Now all I need is my camping trip.

  2. Wow what nice places to visit. We are planning a trip to Yellow Stone National Park in July. It’s so nice to be able to travel in the summertime with your family.
