How to Make Santa Pancakes

This adorable holiday breakfast idea for bite size Santa Pancakes is super easy to make and ultra kid friendly.

The holidays are always so stressful. Sometimes we end up stretching ourselves out so thin trying to do it all, that we end up making ourselves miserable instead of enjoying the season with our families.

This happens every year so I’m always trying to come up with ways to give a little extra holiday magic to my family, without creating a ton of extra stress or work for myself. That’s how this holiday breakfast idea was born.

These mini Santa pancakes come together so quickly, it’s a really fun, low stress option to make Christmas morning a little extra special without slaving away in the kitchen all morning.

Cutest Christmas Recipe: How to Make Santa Pancakes

Ingredients

Instructions

Prepare your favorite pancake batter according to package instructions or use your favorite frozen brand of mini pancakes.

Heat a nonstick pan to medium and use either VERY little or no oil/butter at all in the pan. (This will help the surface of the pancake look less shinny and keep the whipped cream in place)

I used a 1/3 cup muffin/ice cream scooper to try to make similarly sized and shaped pancakes.

Whether you made pancakes from batter or from frozen, be sure to allow the pancakes to fully cool on a rack before continuing. No cheating!

This is important because if they are hot or warm when you add the whipped cream, it run and melt down all over the rest of the face/pancake. Nobody likes a sad Santa :(

While you wait for the pancakes to cool, go ahead and wash, dry and slice the strawberries in half.

Once pancakes are fully cool, place one strawberry half towards the top of the pancake and add candy eyes just underneath.

Carefully dab on a bit of whipped cream to make the fluffy white beard.

That’s it! Easy peasy.

NOTE: The pancakes and strawberries could be made and prepped ahead of time, but plan to add the candy eyes and whipped cream right before serving for best results.

What a super fun (and delicious!) holiday breakfast idea. Plus, flipping smaller pancakes is way easier than dealing with the standard size.

This looks doable to me, just making pancakes is the work and then adding the face and you have those cute little Santas to eat. I will try to make these one morning for my son and his friends.
