Rub a dub dub, who needs a tub? If you have a beach house, you probably understand the need for an outdoor shower. They’re great for washing off the sand and salt water, getting the mud off after rain, or washing your pets.
I’ve seen simple showers with just a shower head and a mat, and elaborate showers that are fancier than some indoor showers!
Of course if you have a beach cottage, you probably don’t want to spend a large amount of money on an outdoor shower. I’ve gathered some AH-mazing photos to inspire you!
This is our very own outdoor shower on our first home, before the tiny house craze was cool!
One of the biggest concerns with an outdoor shower is privacy, and there are many options available. Depending on the location of your house/cottage, maybe privacy isn’t an issue and you don’t need an enclosure.
I love the way the bright colors make this simple shower look funky!
I don’t know what’s behind the curtain, but it looks like there’s enough room to shower and use this space as a changing area.
My favorite design for an outdoor shower at a beach cottage is this surfboard made with mosaic tile! The adventurous homeowner could probably tackle this as a DIY project on a long weekend.
Do you have an outdoor shower? What was the biggest challenge, location, plumbing or design?
