I love receiving flowers. Isn’t there something fantastic about getting a knock on the door and opening it to a bouquet of bright blooms? This fascination is lost on my husband, but for me, there is something tranquil about brushing your nose against a fresh bloom and breathing in the relaxing scent or running your fingers over long soft petals. It’s probably why I like gifting them too. Having fresh flowers delivered to someone’s door is like getting a card in the mail, it’s an unexpected bright spot in a world where we are now reminded by social media to tell our closest friends and family “Happy Birthday” on their digital wall. A card…flowers…those things take planning.

When I received this adorable Teleflora Fun ‘n Festive Deluxe Bouquet, it was an instant bright spot in our day. I loved the huge rose blooms and sunny daisies. I also noticed that a few of the carnations had yet to blossom which is great because it means the bouquet will last for some time with proper watering, plus it was all wrapped up in this adorable little mug that’s perfect for later use.
While watching my five year old breathe in their fresh scent and smile in delight it occurred to me that my mother-in-law is celebrating her 21st birthday (for the absolute first time of course) this month. She is one of the sweetest people you would ever meet and if anyone deserves to smile in delight on their birthday, it’s her. Flowers would certainly get that job done! As an added bonus we would definitely get brownie points for the unexpected gift.
After browsing the website I realized Teleflora has a lot of bouquets, one for just about any occasion, but I really like the Fun ‘n Festive Bouquet because it’s a gift that keeps on giving. She gets flowers now for her birthday and a mug to use for her hot cocoa this winter. That way she can be reminded of her favorite daughter-in-law and son all year round. ;)
