Beats by Dr. Dre – Solo 2

Headphones easily make our essential list because they’re for so much more than just listening to music. They allow you to listen to lectures while walking across campus, to study peacefully without disturbing your roomie or vegging out undisturbed on the weekends with some Netflix. We personally like the Beats by Dr. Dre with their stylish colors and known quality.

SanDisk microSD

At school or at home, our cellphones are our life line. Thanks to products like SanDisk microSD students can get more our of their devices – more overall storage, more music, more photos and a smoother experiences. Capacities range anywhere from 4GB for those who need just a little extra or 200GB for those looking for massive storage.

The Freshman 15 isn’t some mythical number to scare the incoming class. The combination of high stress, long study hours and easy access to pizza and fast food can wreck havoc on anyone’s physique. You might think running all over campus would be enough to keep the extra lbs away but what you really need is a workout buddy (a great way to meet someone new) and a way to keep yourself accountable. Check out the difference between the Jawbone UP2 vs UP3, then decide which one is right for you.

lenovo Horizon

A Tablet

Whether you go big with something like the  Lenovo Horizon 2S 2-in-1 which is ideal for whatever college life throws at you or a more traditional iPad Air, tablets are a great way to save space and money. Not only are tablets relatively cheaper than computers most can handle the needs of a typical college student. Plus tablets open you up to the world of digital ebooks and etext rentals. Not only do these options save you some serious cash, they will save your back too!

Samsonite Tectonic PFT Laptop Backpack

When I was in school, one of the things that drove me crazy was that there were few backpacks that could actually organize my tech. I wish I had something like the Samsonite Laptop backpack with its laptop and tablet pockets, plus a pocket for headphones and plenty of storage for books, pens and more.

USB Drives

USBs drives are the perfect way to keep important assignments on you for all of your classes. They’re also a great way to take advantage of your libraries printing services. In addition to the usual SanDisk USBs, you can now find them for iPhone and iPad, and Android. It allows for easy transfer between your phones and tablets to your computer and frees up more space for photos, videos, music and more.

  1. Wow! Things have changed so much since I went to college. I remember lugging my word processor all over the place. Now, a USB would be much easier!
