It always seems that right around Thanksgiving is when I break out my Silhouette Cameo electronic cutting machine and start getting crafty. This year is no exception. I’ve had the Silhouette for several years and it really came in handy for my DIY Wedding projects and is of course a staple during the holiday season.
Pin this post for later!
The possibilities of what this machine can do are virtually endless. I know that sounds so cheesy, but it’s true. My Silhouette is easily my MOST USED crafting tool I have ever owned and the MOST VERSATILE. I come up with new ways to use it every day, and today was no exception.
I decided last minute that I wanted to take my Hershey S’Mores Cupcakes to the next level and turn them into turkeys. I opened up my Silhouette software and browsed the online store and came across these cute Turkey Cupcake Wrappers – on sale even!
Once purchased and downloaded, I pretty much just had to grab the color papers I wanted to use and set up the design to print 12.
And since I also have the Cameo Silhouette sketch pens, I went ahead and let the Cameo draw the pupils for me too! (You’ll also need this Pen holder attachment to use the pens). The easiest way to do this is the ungroup the eyes, highlight all the outer circles
and delete them.
Then set it to Sketch Pen and “cut”.
You’ll end up with this.
When it’s finished, DO NOT remove the paper.
Replace the Sketch Pen with the blade attachment and then in the software, undo the delete. Now this time go thru and highlight all the pupils and delete them so that only the large outer eye circles are left.
After you “cut”, you’ll send up with this! I then used a Sharpee marker to fill in the holes BEFORE I removed them from the cutting mat.
Now that you have all your pieces, simply glue them together
use a piece of tape to secure the wrapper and place your favorite cupcake inside!

Thank you to Silhouette America for providing me with the Cameo to create this craft. All opinions remain my own.
Well isn’t that just the most clever idea? I should have bought the machine when it was on a BF deal.
I need to start making them for Christmas!
These are adorable! I am going to use this idea next year!
Wow that’s a nice savings on what looks like a really versatile machine. I’d love to check one of those out!
Um, super cute Jeana!
Thanks Crystal :)
