Visiting Park City, Utah in the summer may be a little out of the ordinary for those that consider the Utah mountains a destination created for snow skiing. As someone who lives with an avid snow skier, I might have agreed with you, until my recent stay at the Montage Deer Valley Resort! After spending a couple days here for the Hyundai #NewSantaFe Event, I’m ready to return during any season for any reason, to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and genuinely friendly staff.Utah’s Montage Deer Valley Resort: A Luxury Mountain Lodge

While the Montage Deer Valley resort has only been open since December of 2010, it has already won numerous awards including:

  • Conde Nast Traveler 2011 Hot List – ‘Three Flames’ – Hottest of the World’s Hot New Hotels and Resorts
  • Travel & Leisure Magazine – ‘The 2011 IT List’ – World’s Hottest Resorts
  • 2012 Travel & Leisure Magazine – Top 50 Resorts in America

Its location is PERFECT! We were only 5 minutes away from Park City’s Main Street and a forty minute drive with mountain views from Salt Lake City International Airport. Have I mentioned the breath taking views?

Utah’s Montage Deer Valley Resort: A Luxury Mountain LodgePlus, during ski season they have true ski in/ski out access to North America’s No.1 ski resort! I’ve even been told that they will put on and take off your skis for you – wouldn’t that be nice? Of course they also offer year round activities like hiking, fly-fishing, biking and golf. That is, if you aren’t checking out the shops and restaurants on historic Main Street or enjoying one of the many packages offered at the Spa Montage. Sigh, unfortunately my busy schedule didn’t allow me to indulge in the Mountain Anti-Aging Facial, BOO! Guess, we’ll just add that to my to-do list for next time.

My room was gigantic with 2 Queen beds, a sitting area with fireplace, a work desk, and a bath room that I could live in.

Ah and the bed, my new best friend. The super luxurious featherbed slept like a dream covered in the soft 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and down bedding. I would have loved to pack the bed into my suitcase and brought it back home with me. But then, if I had been able to bring the bed home it wouldn’t have been the same without the gas fireplace and lighting system.

It was easy to lose track of time when getting ready in the morning due to the luxurious, relaxing rain shower in the marble bathroom. A girl could get used to this, but with a separate deep soaking tub they make it so hard to choose!

Not only was I equipped with luxurious bath robes and slippers, but they also gently suggested I try out their ginormous bath tub with a complimentary loofah and bath salts. Hey, since I didn’t get to try put the spa, there was no arm twisting required to get me to say yes to the tub!

This resort was the ultimate in luxury and service in a stunning romantic setting. With so much that I’d like to show my family, the Montage Deer Valley will definitely go on our list of future places to visit and ski (hopefully in the near future)!

Thank you to the Montage Deer Valley for hosting my stay during the Hyundai #NewSantaFe Event.

  1. I’ve heard of this place it looks amazing so picturesque. Never thought of Utah as a vacation spot, but looks like it has a lot to offer, especially those that are one with nature. So pretty
