Back to School season is here! While we’re busy stocking up on school supplies and having a blast filling out this year’s wardrobe, I’ve also been thinking about lunch and after school snack ideas. Not surprisingly, talented bloggers are full of them so I wanted to share a few of my favorites.

This one is for the more sophisticated eater. If you’re not sure you’re kiddo will like it, try making it at home before packing it in their lunch.

Yum! This built off some of my kid’s favorite treats: apples, raisins, and peanut butter.

Kids love being able to build their own food so this Bento Box would be a big win at my house.

These look delicious! I also make a version of these, chicken and cheese crescent roll ups that are a huge hit in my house. They make a great after school snack too.

This is *still* one of my daughters absolute favorite bento box recipes and it’s really just a glorified PB and J – which means very little work for me! It also comes with a smoothie recipe that’s perfect for breakfast on the go.

One of the things I love about quesadillas is that they’re delicious hot or cold. You can also easily turn this into a bento box base. :)

My daughter loves to buy the pizza kits in store but they’re so expensive and full of questionable contents. For this Pizza bento box, Cincy Shopper even makes the pizza dough the night before! Bonus, the recipe comes with free printable lunchbox notes.

Yum! This recipe is quick and sophisticated enough for mom or dad while remaining fun for kids too. Who could resist those winky faces?

  1. Oh I just love these ideas. I wish I would have tried them when my kids were in school but they’d be just as fun as lunches now.
