This is a sponsored post as part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. I have received free products, online support and incentives for participating in the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. My opinions are my own. I am also a Shaklee Independent Distributor.
Did you read my post this month about what motivates you to stay fit? If not, then take a minute, read it, and then you’ll understand why I found it so funny today when I started jogging down the sidewalk in Rosemont, IL. I thought I’d covered all the situations of when and why I would run, I learned I was wrong, when caught out in the rain today.
The rain itself might have been tolerable, except I was about 1.5 miles away from my hotel, it was 43 degrees outside, and I was carrying my Nikon DSR camera with me. Running/jogging, whatever I was doing (if you saw me you probably thought it was might attempt at the Harlem Shake), had NOTHING to do with exercise and weight loss. It was all about saving my camera from the moisture.
Too bad it wasn’t captured on video, because I know my attempt to run is a lot more entertaining than my vlog, or is it?
Last month as I was sharing my experience on the Shaklee 180 Blogger Program, I promised to share some smoothie recipes. Even before making my own smoothies at home with the Shaklee mix, I’ve always enjoyed drinking them. I’d often find myself at Jamba Juice at least once a day, ordering my favorite the Orange Berry Blitz which is no longer on the menu.
Now that I’m drinking 1-2 smoothies a day, I was determined to create my own version, that I can make from home with fresh and frozen fruit. I call it the Berry Blaster!
Source: Do Food Better
Kristin’s Berry Blaster
2.5 scoops Vanilla or Chocolate Shaklee smoothie mix
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup ice
Blend together, then add
1.5 cups baby spinach
1 cup blueberries
1/2 cup raspberries
Blend again and add water if the consistency is too thick! *Sometimes I substitute half of an avocado for the spinach, it gives it a creamy texture.
Muahah it’s enormous!! ;)
